Oh, I just uploaded the Windows installers I made for my Search Engine with NSIS, isn't that just spiffy? Although they are labelled 1.2rc1, the actual Search Engine hasn't changed since 1.2beta (all this stuff is in
searchengine/download if you were completely oblivious to this). Being at UCSB I haven't had much time to work on my Search Engine, but I hope to release version 1.2 before the end of December (read first or second week of January). If you haven't looked at 1.2beta, then you don't know that it uses evil GNU Autoconf and a Windows Perl script to generate its makefiles and it has optional OpenSSL support.
If you've read this much and aren't completely confused, I'm also thinking about releasing one of my Top Secret summer projects. It is a Samba auto-mounter for FreeBSD and/or Linux that does stuff automagically and shows off the problems with Linux's smbmount and permissions. It also seems to have permission problems on FreeBSD when mounting shares from XP Home, I'll have to take my main PC home with me to see if it still works ok with XP Pro. It also uses the PStreams library (which is actually a header file with a bunch of inline code), there is a link on my computers page if you're interested.
That is all.
